Euro size dollies:

The most popular container size used across supply chains is the standard Euro footprint of 600 x 400mm.  As a result we have multiple dollies that will all suit this size of container.  There are differences between them lends themselves to different environments, as described below.

Our basic entry level dolly is the ECO6040, a light weight yet durable universal dolly for 600 x 400mm trays.  Stocked in red, we can supply in other colours on request.  A low cost solution with an impressive 300kg weight capacity fitted with rubber castors.  Used across all areas of supply chain and for general handling applications.  If your usage or application is particularly heavy or rough more premium options may offer better long term value.  Also if the application is for food manufacturing where ease of cleaning is a concern, our food grade dollies are designed to be easier to clean and maintain.

Like the eco dolly, our linkable LD6040 is a great universal option to handle any 600 x 400mm totes, containers or trays.  Probably the best value general purpose dolly, thanks to its attractive price point combined with robust build quality.  For general handling, warehousing, manufacturing and supply chain this unit is a practical and long lasting solution.

The LD6040 also has an optional handle for easier handling.  Manufactured from black recycled polymer, this dolly includes link pins as standard, which enables multiple dollies to be joined together.  A really useful feature that helps to instil lean principles.

Premium link dolly – Our LD— like the above options can handle any 600 x 400mm tray option.  The advantage of this model is the integral moulding linking system.  The dollies slot together without any additional fixings, able to connect dolly to dolly on either of the 4 sides.   This moulded feature provides a more reliable link, ideal for longer distances in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Food grade dollies

Food manufacturing environments have unique requirements when compared with more general manufacturing.  The key thing being hygiene and being able to easily clean equipment.  Our food grade dollies have a smooth top and underside, eliminating the dirt traps that are found on more general purpose dollies.  Our food grade dollies are also manufactured from certified food grade material which can be supplied with a certificate of conformity on request.

Plus our food grade dollies can be supplied in large choice of colour options to fit around the now common place colour coding schemes.  Our food grade dollies are available to suit 600 x 400mm dollies, single or double and our 765 x 455mm confectionary trays.

Stainless steel options are also popular across the food industry as the material lends itself well to frequent cleaning and heavy use. Our inline dolly is favoured for its health and safety benefits as well as hygiene.  The dolly can only travel in a straight line, with a pivot turn function, this ensures the dolly can not be pushed sideways which can lead stacks tipping over.

800 x 600mm Dolly

This heavy duty universal dolly is designed to house either a single stack of 800 x 600mm trays or two stacks of 600 x 400mm trays.  By doubling up the stacks, you can move twice the amount of containers in one movement. A strong platform with a weight capacity of 300kg which can be increased by upgrading the castors.  Stocked in blue as standard further colour options are available on request.  Ideal for use across the supply chain, manufacturing and warehouse environments.

Bread tray dollies

We offer tray specific dollies to transport the different bread baskets in our range.  As these only work with the bread trays the risk of theft or misuse is reduced.

Custom steel dollies – Steel dollies can be custom fabricated to meet any size or design.  Priced on application, we can produce to your design or put forward a solution from a range of material options including mild steel and stainless steel.

Top tips when buying dollies:

• Always check the measurement of your trays / containers, to ensure you choose the correct size dolly.
• For food production and hygiene conscious environments check the underside of the dolly for dirt traps. A dolly ideal for distribution may have dirt traps that would give hygiene teams a headache.
• Castors – Often castors can be upgraded depending on requirements.
• Weight loading – Check the weight load capacity meets your needs, if not upgrading castors may be an option
